Motorpoint Team launch

Hello all,

Motorpoint are having a team launch at Motorpoint in Derby this year.

It will be on Thursday February 17th and all the riders will be there to sign things and we'll have some goodies to give out as well.

We will also have some Motorpoint cycling jerseys available to buy.

An opinion. When you take your pay from a sponsor (rider or manager), you need to look the part and act professionally, and not just on the road. Thus I differ from your opinion, being old fashioned and having respected my past sponsors both on and off the road. That way they seem to stay around longer and keep paying you.

I suspect that the look of the team is part of what the sponsors are trying to get across, and is designed to speak to their target market. Marketing has moved on quite a bit in the last few years.

Still, I haven't seen one of the Motorpoint car salesman in dirty jeans - yet. Then again... but what do I know, I only made a living in marketing since stopping competition!

I wouldn't of even noticed they were wearing jeans if you hadn't of said, I was too busy reading the article and looking at the sponsors on the jersey. Like you're meant to.

Can't make it unfortunately, will try and get to a few local races though!

On the subject of the jeans. The photos were taken at Phil Griffiths' house during an informal team gathering. So they were just relaxed at the time, which is fine with us.

It'll be great to see you all there. It'll be a good way to start the new season and meet the new lads into it.

They've all been away in Benalmadena recently, training for about 7 hours a day. They'll make it back just in time.

We hope so, Malcolm is a talisman for the team. He's great to be around.

We'll be giving out Motorpoint Jerseys for free and you get signed stuff. It's well worth popping in to say hi and meet the team.

It's nearly here! After most of the lads have returned from Mumbai they'll be coming to see us on Thursday as planned!

Most of them will probably be tanned, apart from Will Bjergfelt who got completely drenched in England instead.
