Motorcyclist, Car Driver, unfit cyclist to be?

Hello people,

So in a past life which seems too long ago, I was very very active, always playing sports etc, riding mountain bikes everywhere.

Then I passed my bike and car tests, then all of a sudden, walking, cycling, sport seemed to go away in favour of convenience of motorised transport.

I recently noticed that I am starting to become overweight, and was intending on joining a gym, but then I thought, for the price of a gym, I could buy another bike, and do some cycling, get around, save money travelling, and actually have some fun to.

So here I am.

Post will shortly be made in the beginners section begging for bike advice

Your history is almost the same as so many on CC, you've come to the right place !

Looking forward to hearing of your exploits as you re-discover the joys ^_^, pains , fun :hyper: and expense of cycling!:bicycle:

Hi. I drove a taxi (boo!) for 4 1/2 years and could feel myself turning into a slob. After a rather nasty chest infection and a change of job to one just over a mile away, I raided my mates shed for a bike and cycled to work. Haven't looked back since really.
