The good bit, got out today and did 16 miles, the weather held and I tried out my new dhb bib tights, gore skullcap and Spesh deflect gloves. All performed very well and were very comfy. 
The bad bit. A white van man almost took me out! 
The road I was on is fast and fairly narrow. Not enough room to overtake me if there is oncoming traffic, except this guy decided to overtake me anyway, realized he wasn't going to get round me, so just pulled in and cut me off. His rear bumper missed my front wheel by an inch at the most. I was not a happy bunny. I managed to keep him in view for a while and then he actually pulled over to deliver something so I took advantage, cycled up and told him that he had nearly taken me out and asked him to be a bit more considerate in future and give cyclists a bit of room. He muttered sorry mate, I doubt it will make any difference, but it made me feel a bit better. I enjoyed the rest of my ride without incident. Sorry to rant, just needed to get that off my chest.
