I need a new light as my light and motion has finally stopped holding charge.

Mostly used for forest mountain biking it's been really good. It was a few hundred quid very many years ago.

Any suggestions for a light that has a spread aswell as a spotlight at the same time.?

Just trying to work out the amp hours as to weather I can build a new pack up.

It's a great light

If you are UK based, it's worth giving MTB Batteries an email - they can re-build battery packs !

Otherwise, the cheap chinese lights are darn good, with the 4 cell packs, although I'd suggest getting a battery pack holder, and using decent quality cells instead - that's what I do.

Yeah in Cornwall so I'll look into it.
The pack just seems like shrink wrapped batteries. It comes with a frame holder for the battery but I use it on my lid so usually tuck it in my pocket or camelpak.

Was wondering if I could use a laptop battery

Laptop batteries do use the same cells. BUT, and this is a big but...

Unless you know what you are doing, and are dead handy with a soldering kit, and understand these batteries are a bit volatile, then leave alone. Don't go bodging laptop batteries, or trying to fix one of these.

Likelihood of a fire is high as these cells pack a punch in amps. Cross wire them and they will go up.

I'm ok with the Idea.

Sorting out battery bikes because of poor connections and corrosion on a fairly regular basis.

Messaged them see if I can increase lifespan of each charge. (Mtb batteries)
