I thought that but felt if I waited for the weather this time of year it would always be too cold, too wet, too windy, too bright or any number of the above combinations!! Curse lidl for not doing its bike gear until next week

Commuting through a year will have you riding in the rain 14 times, according to something once posted on here. It's a shame that looks like it'll happen for you on ride #1, but consolation might be that I've commuted about 60% of the time since April (whenever I've been working locally) and I haven't got wet in the morning and only once on the way home.

I suspect you might be pleasantly surprised. ;) April to July were the wettest since forever, but I didn't get wet once until August. Unless you live in Manchester, in which case you'll be lucky to get 14 dry days.

Go Monday Pikeman, if you get wet there will only be thirteen more left. If you leave till Tuesday you'll still have fourteen and by Wednesday they may have upped it. (Nod if I've lost you).

Living where I do, I get wet on most rides!! Today was a glorious early Autumn day, clear blue skies, not a breath of wind. Until I was about 4 miles from home, first the rain, then a hail shower!!! :cursing: Give me rain anyday!!

I guess that depends on how long your commute is though? 1.5 hours a day for me, and I think I got wet 14 times last month!

That said, getting wet in lycra is nothing like when you get wet in your 'civvy' clothes.
