Mobil Syst S Oil On Bike Chain

Would it be ok to use Mobil Syst S engine oil on my bike chain ? I have just put a light coating of it on and it seems and I repeat it seems to do a good job

Yes, it's fine. It might fling somewhat, but otherwise it'll find a chain fairly easy going compared to the heat and pressures found within an engine. In use hypoid oil myself, although it stinks.

As said, the fling might drive you crazy when it goes over your rims !!

Be good in the winter as it is a 5W oil at low temp.so will flow OK at -45c.
