I just noticed that the Stalker Function (the thing that tells you where someone was last, and when) reported my whereabouts erroneously. It claimed I was seen in Tapatalk 2 minutes ago. This is not true - I don't like Tapatalk and haven't used it for weeks/months, and anyway I've been at my desk for hours, not on my phone.

I don't really give a monkey's, but I thought you might like to know if it's talking bollocks. :girl:

Thanks for letting me know Claudine - I'll see if anyone else on XF software has seen a similar doppelganger-effect on their boards?

If someone has their visibility setting ticked you can see when they were last online by clicking their avatar and checking the bottom of the text on the popup-out profile card.

For example - FF was here at an unholy hour this morning - "Fab Foodie was last seen: Today at 04:45"

It's a bit more complicated than that...
TC - you are reliably shown as being online at all hours of the day and the night ("people you follow" always shows a future pork chop). Since I assume you do sleep occasionally, is Tapatalk set up to masquerade as you and connect automatically every few minutes?

Actually, that's a good point - Tapatalk could be polling CC and making it appear as if you're online. I don't use Tapatalk personally, but are there any settings for keep-alive or push-notifications? Those are the sort of things that would keep an active connection to CC.

I've posted a question on the Tapatalk support forums - I'll let you know what they come back with.

I just thought you were constantly on your phone everywhere, eagerly scanning CC's every utterance, every second of the day.

Hmmmm. I am often around at odd hours, but never on Tapatalk. I just use the mobile version when not at work, which I presume would mean that I appear online if I forget to exit the web browser on my phone. I think I will uninstall Tapatalk, as it's probably using up my battery if it's pretending to be me all night...
