I'd like to say it's an old Christmas tradition, but it's not.

It started with a 2005 children's picture book, but has been marketed in such a way that you'd think it was.

What's the score - do you have to do something every day - seems that's what SIL is doing. Nephew got advent calendar yesterday, now Elf PJ's - so does this go on and on...

I don't understand why you'd want to have kids believe that a doll can move around at night and get into mischief whilst everyone sleeps.

Why not just play them the Child's Play film and be done with it!
