Miracle Sudoku

I know some of us enjoy a puzzle on a Sunday morning and I just came across this via twitter. Been watching the solve while the baby was napping and it's a thing of beauty.

Normal sudoku plus a few extra rules, anyone fancy a go at it before they watch the video?

No, I think the trick is that the extra restrictions make it sound more difficult, but they're actually the key to solving it. Without them, there's no unique solution.

How about this one, with no numbers to start with at all?

I just found it strangely beautiful to watch. Seeing his face when confronted with what he thought was an insoluble puzzle, and then again when he started to get the 3s was a joy.

Yes hopefully it was genuine, he really did think it was initially a wind-up, but the way his brain is wired to see the hidden logic, was a joy to watch
