I recently bought a Mio Cyclo 305HC GPS, which I am very pleased with except that the audible warning for turns has stopped working when using the navigation function. I definitely have the "Instruction" sound enabled, and the speaker is OK because the unit beeps when I press the touch screen. Has anyone else had this problem? I was wondering if it was broken by a recent software update?

Thinking of upgrading from my Garmin 200 and clocked the Mio range. What do you think of it now a fews months down the line since you posted?

i also have a mio 305 HC
all i can say is it has made my cycling a hell of a lot better. the surprise me option is great especially on the longer rides where im out for 3-4 hours. The battery lasts for around 2-3 rides ( about 7 hours) and the screen is really easy to read on the bike ( i bought a SRAM computer holder so it fits in front of my handlebars). The only issue i have is it is hard to use the touch screen with gloves.
the MIOshare software is crap but does enough for you to analyse your ride but nothing like the garmin software.
overall considering i paid £170 for mine, i think it was worth every penny.

I bought the Mio 505 at the start of December to replace an ailing garmin 605. Really delighted with it. Good battery life, large clear screen and routing that seems to work quite well for bikes. The 'surprise me' feature is very clever and gives some good variety in routes. Mioshare shows basic info but if you want to you are able to upload the GPx file to garmin to analyse it (although all the basic info is on mioshare

Have you tried a factory reset, maybe that would help?
