Battery (4AAA)operated palm sized unit connects to pads. The pads have a sticky gel and adhere to the area you wish to treat.
Switch on, wait for 30 mins for the full treatment and that's it.
This was purchased in 2008 and used until the injury cleared - it may have healed naturally I don't honestly know.
It comes with a working pair of pads (they last for ages) and a spare pair of pads.

These retail at around £100 and have been around since 2001.
