Mickle's tip o' the day.

Feel your balls or your tits for lumps on a regular basis. And when you find something take it to the doctor.

It wasn't Lance Armstrong's testicular cancer that nearly killed him but his denial. If he had visited the doctor sooner it wouldn't have spread to his brain.

Having a bit of anxiety about a doctor feeling your bits is very many times more desireable than the threat of death.

Soap them up and give yourself a good grope. Do it today, and next month, and forever.

Please.

Sadly, in the last month, the absolute truth of mickle's words have come home in our family. One 60 year old male, ignored the warnings and has just been informed that he may live for about 3 more weeks. Another young woman in her 20's has her cancer being treated with an excellent prognosis.

Bravo I couldnt agree more even your doctor after an external examination will, or should, always recomend an ultra sound - Ive just done it took 5 minutes for the external examination couple of weeks to get seen for the ultra sound at the hospital and Bingo mind at rest.

My dad told me that a few years ago he had found a lump and, out of character for him he went straight to the Dr's. Turned out to be nothing serious but he had it checked. He told me this couple of years back and I've been checking myself regularly since.

Or better yet, get someone to do it for you ;)

I found a lump myself a few years back and (also out of character for me, being a bloke and all) was straight down the local surgery. Turned out to be nothing more than a blocked tube that was easily (and painlessly) sorted; but better safe than sorry.

"you know the importance of checking for breast cancer - and I am a trained medic" It never worked for me as a chat up line -
I think I've been checking myself since I was 12
