Reading Blazing Saddles' blog he makes much of Mick Rogers' departure from SKY ( to Saxo) and his impact on battering Froome's lead yesterday.

Can someone fill me in on that back-story of Rogers leaving SKY, please?

According to Mick Rogers it's all about an economic decision hat suited him to leave.

Timing that it came along as Sky insisted everyone on the team signs to say they had never doped, is purely coincidental according to Mick

Thanks, BJH

Well, we're all outsiders when we get these versions of events, aren't we. like why is wiggo not there? More answers than questions!

Leaving aside the reasons for their absence/departure, Sky are seriously missing both Rogers and Wiggo this year.

Froome's doing a grand job without them but he'd be even stronger with them. Which is quite frightening, really.

And/or Eisel. They lack a team brain that Wiggo, Bernie and Rogers supplied last year. I read somewhere that Froome had a lot of influence over selection and picked those he was comfortable with. This Sky team has shown vulnerabilities. Wiggins gave great credit to Knees and Pate for the unseen load they did last year.

I wonder if that is true about selection? DB seems too much in control to delegate that power. Tomorrow's probably where we see if the quality of the team is good enough, or if he really can do it Evan's styles.
