Hi

Looking for a reasonably priced folding tyre that offers p-protection, grip in the wet and rolls well. Has anybody had much experience of Michelin Lithion 2s? I did a search in the Reviews section but couldn't find that that many write ups. A handful of replies mentioning them though. I have been running folding Gatorskins but looking to save a few pennies... I know, I know - you get what you pay for and all that but if the feedback is good, I might give them a shot!

Cheers,

They are surprisingly good.

Had them on my commuter for 2-3 weeks (constant wet/damp weather), having gone for a cheaper option than replacing £60+ worth of Conti 4 Seasons.

Gators are crap in the wet compared to 4 Seasons, and I've not noticed the Lithions being any worse than the 4 Seasons.

I have Pro Race tyres on my other two road bikes.

Slightly heavier than Pro Race - 230g vs 200g - more rubber for better wear. 4 Seasons are 220g

Grip - fine, no issues, although I'd recommend you take it easy at first until the manufacturing chemicals wash/wear off - even my Pro Race tyres were dodgy brand new.

Roll well, and are fairly comfy (better than the Conti GP 4 Seasons for shock) but not as pliable as the Pro Race.

For the money, they are great. Got my red ones for £12 each. Look for about £15 as the norm.
