Metronidazole and Amoxicillin, Phew

I went to the dentist about ten days ago before a trip to Ireland and was given the above to take in case of bad pain, I was also told I would need root canal treatment or an extraction. I was nearly finished my trip when the pain kicked in but held off taking the meds as I don't often take antibiotics but when I have done there hasn't been a problem.
I started taking the pills last Monday when I got back, at first no problems but then I started feeling , exhausted, depressed (I've even ordered a recommended book from the depression thread), nauseous, cold and the flora of the gut has gone. I went to a new dentist as I didn't rate the last dentist (who had recently take over from my old nhs dentist) the new dentist with his state of the art equipmet told me I just needed a filling replaced.
Has anybody else taken Metronidazole and felt like shite.

Yes I started taking Yakult, I will be finished the course tomorrow so hopefully return to normal service. The new dentist thought the other dentist was over the top with the pills but he said as I started I should finish the course.

I had some a few months back to clear a wisdom tooth infection I think. Stinky farts and gut problems but other than that ok.
