OK, I wasn't commuting but I don't much use the other bits of CC.

Met @Cunobelin at the Castle In The Air. It's a pub. He offered me a ride on his very smart cargo bike but I declined, as he'd just explained the unnatural procedure needed to not fall over on sharp corners, and I'd already spent some time in the Castle In The Air.

But if he'd like to offer me a try on his bent sometime...

Yep - it was nice to chat with you.

We are rearranging a mass of paperwork and other bits - hence the boxes

The other trike(s) can be arranged at some point

The iPlod logo is not original - I remembered seeing it on the web, but I have never found it again, so have never had the chance to ask permission to use it.

Looks very smart (the bike, I mean, obviously ;-) Is that electric assist? I see a big fat rear hub and a rear mech.

The advice I got for steering a Christiania was to "feed the bar through my hands" in the same way you would a car steering wheel. It helps (it means your bodyweight is central rather than on the outside of the turn) but it's not really sufficient. IME if you put a couple of small children in the box then the extra weight makes it much less likely to roll. Touch wood

It is easy to ride once you get used to it, and it is just a case of not leaning in the way you expect

My wife is disabled, but can manage a trip into town and back on her adapted Gekko

However once we got there we were limited.

The Christiania will take a small mobility scooter so when we get into town she is still mobile

However when fully loaded the rig weighs about 110 Kg... not including me!

Hence electric assist..
