As the title. Looking for a recommendation on a merino long-sleeve vest, but not a cycling/running cut. Something non-body hugging, more like a regular t-shirt or thermal vest. Ideally no more than 40quid.

I bought one on holidays but having trouble finding a distributor over here. I really like the cut it as it doubles up as casual wear, can wear it around the house, workign in the yard, etc.

I (along with a few others here) like the On-One tops. Dunno if its what you are after though. If you don't want it body hugging just buy a bigger size
There is also Ground Effectin NZ. I can't really comment having never bought anything from them, but they do have fans on the forum.

Howies have got some on sale at the moment. I've had one for years and it's great. I also bought an Aldi merino winter shirt last year which I use as a jumper (occasionally over a shirt on really cold days). I wear a Ground Effect shirt every day and so would recommend the quality of their products. Aldi do merino base layers on 'sports weeks' but they tend to be tighter.

Someone at work is a fan of the Ground Effect and I do recall a lot of forum recommendations. Would buying a bigger size work with the stretchy sports-type tops? I have a HH merino and it fits the same now as it did last year and I've put on 3stone!

Ta for all the recommendations. When I was googling b4 making the post, seems to be getting either the sports cut gear, or - from one extreme to another - fashion wear like merino tank tops and cardigans. Alot of the Howie gear looks like the type of thing I'm after, the grandad shirt for example (even tho it is short sleeved). As does the Chocolate Fish (nearly mis-named that). I'll have a proper look after work.
