I know that there are a lot of posts on here every day but some may possibly remember I posted up for some advice on weather boardman bikes were any good.

Anyway I went into my local bike shop to get my current piece of turd sorted out and was talking about bikes with the owner. He said that he had just signed a contract to sell merida bikes. He also said that compared to certain bikes I had in mind to get that I would be paying a lil bit more for a popular name.

So I guess my question is does anyone have or rate Merida bikes highly.

I did get a calalogue from the bike shop and using my limited knowledge they look pretty good to me.

Any help would be great thanks:smile:

Dont have any direct feedback but they are a reasonably well known company, been making frames for others for years. I would think that you could buy with reasonable confidence.

Merida are still in the VFM band. My daughter has a Merida sub60 and it's very nicley put together, and very well equipped.

Their road bikes look great and are highly recommended, but are still a bit component light compared with Boardman

I got a Merida for my birthday just on Sunday there:biggrin: and am delighted with it. Nice style, smooth to ride

Ok I have only done about 80 miles on him since I got him, but every single one was a pleasure
