Here I have my 53cm Mercian Strada Speciale for sale.

Looking for £145 shipped (if needs be) for the lot, I won't split as it'll cost me to get my bike shop to strip it down. So thus am selling it as is.

I'm in Kettering, Northamptonshire,a nd would prefer local pick up, but I can ship.

OFFERS WELCOME TOO

Please PM me preferably if interested.

It comes as the following:

-Frame (which can be converted back to a road bike, with Campagnolo droputs. I had it restored which cost me £100 for the paintjob)

-Wheels (from singlespeed components cost me £100)

-Tyres (Raleigh ones in 25c, tan walled cost me £20 for the pair)

-Headset (Campgnolo Athena if I recall correctly. Note that it was coming losse on rides, but not sure if it needed tightening correctly)

-Shimano 105 champagne callipers (cost me £25, plus £8 for new pads which have 95% left in them)

-Steel 46t chainset (Cost me £25 from ebay, loads of life left in the teeth)

-MKS Touring pedals (Cost me £25)

-27,2mm unbranded, fluted seatpost (Cost me £8 from ebay)

-And finally a Cateye Cycle computer which cost me £10, but you can choose whether or not you want it.

Don't suppose its possible to fit a shimano hanger is it?

The below is from: http://forums.roadbikereview.com/co...d-question-campy-drop-outs-shimano-83667.html

"Campagnolo drop-outs are exactly what they sound like - drop-outs manufactured by Campagolo. Dropouts are small and highly stressed, so they must be made very strong. Most higher quality steel drop-outs are forged. Forging equipment is large and very expensive, so it is not worthwhile for most frame and bicycle makers to invest in them. So, frame/bicycle makers buy them from 3rd party makers like Campagnolo (Campagnolo did/does their own in-house forging for a variety of other parts in their components).

However, there is also a dimensional difference between Campagnolo drop-outs. Campagnolo derailleur mounting bolts use a 10mm x 26TPI thread, which is different from the 10mm x 1mm thread on Shimano derailleurs. Likewise Campagnolo drop-outs also use this 10mm x 26TPI thread. However, this is almost a moot point - 1mm pitch is very close to 26TPI, and the thread length of a derailleur hanger is very short, so for practical purposes you can mix and match these different threads between derailleur and drop-out."

I've emailed mercian, so will let you know.

It's partially sold to someone on here who's doing local pick up tomorrow. Apologies in advance, but I just received the message several minutes ago. Thanks.
