I've got to credit this guy for creativity and possibly one of the most innovative new cycling products i've ever heard off. However, aherm......it's crap

So it's a dirty great big box with some flashing lights on it and it makes a noise that changes tone/pitch/volume as you change speed/direction? Remind me NOT to get one on payday:smile:

fantastic! I particularly liked
"it allows you to expressively interact within your transportation environment all the while exploring the possibilities of networked bicycle based computing" ….along with "This computer does some math…." The coup de grace was what appeared to be no noticeable demonstration of it in action. Unless the weird soundtrack was it?

Nah if Brian Eno made one it would probably sound nice.

I still want one though - anything that combines my two greatest loves (cycling and making weird noises) commands respect!

Shame there's no decent videos of it in action.

The inventor has too much time on their hands. Seems to be from the perspective of a ped who has a grudge against cyclists he cannot hear as they approach so has come up with this utterly crap idea.

As the Dragons would say "I'm out" or as Duncan Banatyne might say "It's a crap idea and because of this I won't be investing".

But it's ONLY $250 fully assembled for you .

... or you invest $150 of your time to build up the $100 kit.

Bargain ...... or what ? xx(

I think the assembly time/purchase price would be better spent out riding/upgrading useful components.

[but I'm a GOM ]

I think people are being a bit unkind here - there's a lot of thought gone into this. One area that may take time to become of use is the networking ability. The site states that 10 of these beauties are currently being built to be shipped all over the world - I'm not sure of the range of the network but the chances of two being in the same street could be fairly remote.

I'm struggling to think of a good reason for it to exist, but I'm kind-of glad it does.
I'm shocked at the price though. I'm sure I could come up with something cheaper.
A dynamo feeding a voltage-controlled oscillator springs to mind.
