My rear mech hanger seems to be bent. Well - it is bent. I'd like to replace it but I cannot source a direct replacement. It's for a Tifosi CK7. Seems to be out of stock as far as I can Google. Chicken Cycles are the importers which, if previous experience is anything to go by, they'll be months getting off their arses to sort via an equally unconcerned LBS.

I'm not sure attempting to straighten the hanger is the answer. It is obviously bent by eye and the re-straightening will doubtless fatigue the aluminium presumably leaving me in the lurch again at some point. Reluctant is I to go down that road.

So is there a compatible rear mech hanger out there does anyone know? Or indeed the real maccoy? There does seem to be an enormous variety out there.

What's the story on the emergency hangers?

I've found BETD really helpful: http://www.mountainbikecomponents.co.uk/result.asp?CategoryID=193&Name=HANGERS+by+brand
If you send them a pic of your bent one, they will advise you what would fit best.
There are others too: just google "gear hangers".
