Meaning of motorcycle symbol?

In the Vuelta, occasionally I saw a triangular motorcycle symbol accompanied with a no. What does that means?

Bikes following the race get numbered so that you can tell which group the ''live'' bike is filming. Or, at least, you could tell if you know how many bunches the race is in. There's probably a protocol where bikes are assigned positions, i.e. Bike No. 1 = race leaders/échappées, No 2 = peloton, etc, but I'm not sure if it's always that fixed.
