It's stuff which is applied to the 'nether regions' to avoid the effects of friction between the shorts and the skin.

Stuff like Sudocrem et al.

It's cream/ crème made from the milk of the Chamois. It's only milked in small quantities due to the difficulty in herding the animal, hence the higher price than regular cream.

It has antiseptic qualities and helps avoid saddle sore.

The lining of cycling shorts used to be made from the skin of the same animal, although modern shorts are mostly made from synthetic materials.

Dont worry about asking silly questions, most of my threads have seemed silly to some readers but important too me?
Know doubt I will ask a few more silly one's.. there's a lot to learn about riding a bike. :smile:
