The original message about a floating bypass of Scotland was intended to be somewhat of a tongue-in-cheek, but anyway, on to another point:
Does anyone know if there any statistics showing how many cycle LeJog independently without support and those who do so as part of an organised group?

99.999999999 are in groups over 21 days....

0.0000000001 are independent over 8 days....

Just saying..... 💪

Thank you Matt.
I made a number of comments on their thread in the run up to the 9-22nd September LEJOG: minimal sleuthing required.

Top tip: don't go via St Austell: the north Cornwall option is advantageous and attractive.

But if you must! The linked route has a high proportion of 'narrow yellow' roads which I recommend avoiding. Better this (slightly shorter and 250+m less climb!)

I have ridden these roads (not in a single ride).

Super, thanks. I'll plug it in.
