I've got the above rims. Is there meant to be rim tape installed?

Just googled them........it looks like the spoke eyelets don't go all the way through the rim so no tape required.

No your right, but I'm a bit worried around the valve hole though as that feels a bit rough.

Just add a bit of electrical tape over the hole in that case to smooth it out. Those rim-types do worry me though, if you get a broken spoke how are you supposed to change them without some horrible faffing with cotton and hoovers.
