Hi, i am contemplating upgrading to Ultegra 11 speed chain set onto my exiting 10 speed 105/tiagra bike and read somewhere that i would need new wheels as well if the hubs were not right.
I cant seem to find any ref to my mavic cxp-22s Formula hub being able to accommodate 11 speed?
Any advice would be appreciated

My mavic hubs need a spacer to allow me to use a 10 speed freehub as they are 11 speed ready.
This implies if you do not need a spacer to use a 10 speed then an 11 speed will not fit.
I should point out I do not really know in your case but I have assumed it would be the same.

You will only need new hubs if you change the shifters to 11 speed.

The 11 speed chainrings are the same width as 10 speed and any changes to the gap between the chainrings will be minimal - so the chainset should be compatible with what you have already but you may want to double check if you are forking out good money!

Thanks guys, I may just bite the bullet and replace the lot and if I sell the bike I can just put he old gear back omit, may need to speak to my bike man to check costs of sticking it all on.
