Just bought a new bike which comes with Mavic Aksiums. Don't know much about them and wondered if to swap them for my Ultegras I'm running on my current bike.

I've had Aksiums/Aksions for around 3 months now. For me they roll well and I have no complaints. Apart from one puncture....but that's par for the course.

The Mavics are a very popular wheel. I had a set and put about 15000 miles on them. I still have the front wheel on my winter bike.

I commute pretty much everyday so might stick with the Mavic's for the winter and save the Ultegra's for Sunday best.

Pick a set for your summer bike and go with that.

I know they are wheelsets. I have the Aksiums. I also know the Ultegras, but don't know what they are like.
Where does it say that I am asking for advice on wheelsets. Maybe it's you who needs to read the thread properly.
The wheelset question was being asked by STEVEN DAVIS, not me!

I have Aksiums, used in summer & winter.
Haven't really had many wheel sets to compare to, but they seem OK to me
Done c10,000 miles on them too...might need some new ones soon, at least the rear one which gets the most hammering...

Thanks for the advice. I didn't want to fall into the trap of presuming that just because one set cost more than the other it made them better.
