Marmite shoes?

Trying to decide if I like or really hate the look of these shoes, need some new ones for general commuting/weekend duties

They put me in mind of the slippers that the grannies wear in care homes. SPD's and zimmer frames, a natural pairing.

I'm in a decisive mood tonight. I looked at them and decided I didn't like them earlier on. I've just come back to this thread, had another look and decided that I do quite like them. That's 2 decisions in one evening. I'm decidedly on a roll tonight.

I think the design of the shoe is a little confused, first that great big flap to shrug off the worst of the weather, then all those ventilation holes to absorb the rain diverted to it by the big flap.. just my opinion mind.

I know it can be unfair on the LBS, but can you find a pair in a local one to try them on and see how your plates of meat look and feel in them? I've never bought a pair of shoes without trying them on first. And Shimano sizing seems inconsistent to me - I've got two types of Shimano shoes and they're different sizes.

Both CRC and Wiggle do free returns with Collect+ so easy enough to order and return if don't fit / look too much like granny slippers in the comfort of your own living room
