Have you missed something off the end of point 3?

I'd prefer 'anchor text' in the links, like this:

4. Lighten the load – see it is most definitely about the bike.

5. Don’t get overheated. Wear just enough to keep you warm – see what to wear.

Del, I think it's great; however, I don't personally like light text on a dark background - it's nice to have black on a light background for almost everything - it's just so much easier on the eyes. Oh and I agree with Colin about the anchor text.

yep, 'groovy' as the colour scheme may be it makes my eyes go squiffy, I honestly can't look at it for more than a few seconds. The same goes for any website using that sort of colour scheme, it's not unique to the FNRTTC

FFS its a NIGHT ride. Black with flashes of white and ...err... orange (as red doesn't really work). Good websites should reflect the character of the event. And it does, with the quirkiness one might expect.

I did my first Friday in May, and you may vaguely recall that I expressed some nervousness about speed beforehand (needlessly so, as you all assured me and as turned out to be absolutely true). I think something added to point 2 along the lines of "You can cycle at a pretty relaxed pace and walk up the hills and still arrive in Brighton in company and in plenty of time for breakfast" could add some reassurance to some people.
