Mapmyride Route Genius

I was wondering if anyone had tried out the Mapmyride MVP features and are they worth the price? More specifically is the route genius feature any good and does it provide good routes? I was thinking about getting the Mio Cyclo 315 which has the surprise me feature, offering up three randomly generated routes, but £300! So decided to use my iPhone instead, anyone found an online alternative similar to either of these features?

I like the planning of a ride beforehand so I just use ridewithgps and create different routes. Then pick one at random if that's what you want
