Manchester Velodrome taster

Went on a taster at the NCC last weekend with a mate & his son, what a great laugh! First time on a fixie, first time on the track, first time for quite a while with drops. Great value at £11 for an hour including bike & helmet.

Anyone thinking of doing it go for it!

I've been trying to book a two hour session all year for a group of us but never been quick enough to get in. My husband has been a couple of times and it does look like fun!

One thing I couldn't quite get my head around was how much harder you have to pedal to get round the top of the banking (as opposed to the bottom of the same curve). I can't quite work out why it should be more work.

Further round, innit? More pressure to keep the speed up. There, that's my story and I'm sticking with it.
