manchester critical mass this friday

hi all,

anybody on here been to a previous one? what's the format? do people meet up, chat, cycle round and maybe a few beers after? or does everybody just go home at the end? is it purely political or is a bit of a social thing too? i fancy going, but don't want to end up billy nomates having a few bevvies after on me own

if I'm organised then I might be there, but I've plans on Saturday an will probably still be frantically trying to pull things together.

Mr Houtkop went on the last one but I was busy doing something else. It looks like we'll have to miss this one as well as something else's come up; but if it fits we'll pop along. Sounded like he enjoyed it, but he was with a cycling friend...

went to the manchester critical mass. there wasn't a lot of people there, probably due to bank holiday weekend and the weather was awful.

i had a brilliant time. all the people were friendly. the range of bikes was amazing, the range of people was amazing. the atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly and very slow riding. we ended up at an amazing pub, next to bicycle boutique. the most bike friendly place i have ever seen. i can't recommend critical mass enough. i will be going every month from now on.
