Not quite Manchester more Cheshire, but you missed the Macc Bikeathon last week. Only 50 miles but nice and hilly on the first half. There is also the Manchester to Chester, only about 50 miles on 19th June. If you want longer the Macc Monster I think is on again this year 100K. Hilly mind you 7000 ft of climbing and later in the year, October last time, kids cancer charity so a good cause.

Two more the week after too! Lots around that area. Might do Spud Riley myself. Torelli doing one Sept, starts from Oldham that's fairly close.

The Jodrell Bank sportive wasnt too far away either but that was back in march normally but pencilled in for july 2011. There are a couple of pennine based ones starting and ending in oldham (Pennine challenge, Tour of the Pennines).
