Good suggestions there from PpPete, but IMO you can save your money for more important things. YouTube is your friend in all matters of fettling View: http://youtu.be/SkzvfCaIbyQ
I have all 3 of these, and find them all useful for different things.
Often, when I have a job to do, I'll go to Park first, then Zinn for more detail, and if I'm still not happy, I ask on here and someone will post a link to a good video.
The Works is currently selling a book called The Total Bike Maintenance Book by Mel Allwood - very good for beginners at £7.99 - but not too basic for intermediate fettlers either. Will be giving my cycling sons a copy for Christmas in the hope that they start doing their own repairs!
i'd get the Park Tools book - confusingly it's described as "volume 2" in some listings, implying there's a "volume 1"
in fact, "volume 2" means "second edition" - so you only need that one.
i thought it significantly better than Zinn, especially as the latter comes in "road" and "mountain" flavours
Sheldon Brown did a great job of explaining all things bicicular . For books , I used to always keep a copy of Zinn and Park Tool when I was doing more repair work , now I mostly gototheweb.
