is it too bulky for a road bike ?

around here are a lot of country lanes with no lighting and i was considering a cree torch with mounts (around 400lumen

im currentley using a cat eye it lights up the road ahead ok but its really only a be seen light im honest .

any other recommendations welcome thanks .

I have one which I use on my roadie and MTB. No problems with mounting.

It gives an awesome beam or flash. To be honest I very rarely use it on full power.

I was convinced to buy one when I saw my mate coming from over a mile away! I thought I gotta get one of those!

I've got one on my road bike, no issues with mounting it either. Utterly brilliant light, I regularly use mine for 30 mile night rides on unlit country lanes. £50 on Dealextreme well spent, or lookup 82510 on the DX website which is a newer version that works out to £30 but I don't have any experience of that newer light yet. A friend has bought one and is awaiting delivery, I will let you know what it's like when it arrives if you're interested.

The latest Magicshines have a waterproof sealed battery pack with LCD charge indicator on them which is a little higher speck than the generic copy, mind you the Magicshine is a generic copy of the Tesler

The reviews underneath that DX bargain point out it is more of a spot than a flood. I've just ordered one to wear as a helmet light.
