Hi Guys,
Just wondering if anyone has found a quick release bracket to mount the Magicshine MJ872 on the bars. I don't want to leave my light on the bike when at my local cafe stop? Is there a Magicshine bracket available or do I have to do a "home made" jobbie?
Thoughts much appreciated.
Thanks

Assuming it uses the same rubber rings that come with it i would have thought it was easy enough to take off?

I modded my standard MS to fit onto one of these ..

By removing the part the rubber ring attaches to on the light and then taking the head off the light bracket i found the screw fitted perfectly into the light base.

Yes, if it does use the rubber rings and from a quick search on t'internet it appears it does, then I cannot think of anything which will be much easier to remove!

Sorry to dissapoint but that bracket is out out of stock and staying so, the one in stock on that link is the 3rd one in the CRC picture called the 'Electron Extreme Micro'.

I tried to source one from Electron but they said they no longer get the Electron EHP bracket.

Ahh well

I have seen on this forum i think that there is another bracket that you can get , at the end of the day none of them will be quicker to release than the rubber band .

Do you know where/which one? My magishine may still only exist in the internet somewhere but I can least order the bracket whilst waiting lol

I actually has the idea of mounting this permanently on one of those top peak extender bars, just an idea this point though....

I was unsure about the rubber ring when I ordered my magic shine as well. After using it though I like the fact I easily move the light to face more on the road like a dipped headlight, or when on the country lanes pull it up to use as a full beam.

Reasonably easy to take off the bike when I get to work as well. Much easier than the velcro battery pack. Wish we had some bike lockers so I didn't have to strip the bike of accessorises every time I ride to work.

Oaf on a Bike
I have an MJ872 which i attach with the smaller of the two provided O-rings, its tight enough that it doesnt wobble or move about like i think some of the older models did, easy to tilt up and down and you can remove the lighthead very quickly  The main attraction of buying a mount like the bike radar review would be so be able to aim the beam slightly towards the kerbside.

Im wondering about some kind of shielding to reduce upwards light spill as when its dipped its still rather blinding to oncoming traffic (although probably no worse than car headlights), something similar shaped to those covers some traffic lights have perhaps.

Hi guys,
Thanks for all your replies to the post. Magiclight DO have a supplier in the UK, and there on ebayb as well. The link for the auction is here :-

Did the Buy It Now for £15.00 with free postage.
One quick release handlebar mount now on it's way. Lets see (no pun intended) if it does what isays on the tin.

That one has been touted before, and I (and others) dismissed it as someone making a fast buck with seemingly overpriced mount (CRC generic £2.99, official £14.99)

Still when your paying £30ish for the light, still good value, think I will get this too
