Magicshine 808 or 816

I currently have a Smart 35 as my front light but as good as it is I will need something brighter for the dark nights. As i will be on unlit county roads I have decided on a Magic shine but want to know what peoples thoughts are on which would be better. The single 808 or is it worth going Disney and getting the Mickey Mouse 816. my commute is 18 miles and I do it in about 1hour 15. I wont need the light on full all the time but need to know it will last.



Any thoughts will be appreciated

It lit up the canal past what the camera can see for , i'd guess, a good 70-100 meters (in total)

If you buy from the two main UK sellers you now get the better German batteries. The mickey mouse one is dimmable and has a better light spread, the 808 is more compact. Oh and there are new 3 and 4 led models

I got the 816 in the end and it arrived today and I must say i am impressed with it. A lot smaller than I thought it was going to be and uber bright
