Hi,

A few days ago i was Investigating a "clicky" bottom bracket on a friends bike. I have replaced that as it was old and they had already brought a new one, but when coming to replace the non drive side crank I found that whoever had looked at it before had rounded the head, just enough so I cant get it to tighten enough... Just on one bolt

Its item 3 on this diagram...

Anyone got one to spare? I will cover postage with paypal.

Or failing that could I use a 20mm one? (I can get them from screw fix, but not sure if 20mm would be too long)

Assuming its a standard cap head screw, 19mm (as you know) is non standard.
1mm may or may not make any difference, if its a hole all the way though the crank, it wont (i assume) make any difference.
If its a blind hole, put something down it and measure how deep it is. If its a few more mm than 20mm, you'll be ok with a 20.
If there's not enough depth, look at the washer, if its a pretty standard type, add one washer, that'll effectively make a 20mm long screw..19mm.

I could possibly get you a 20mm, but I'm not back in work until the 3rd Jan to check.

If you're not sorted by then let me know.

I have some M6 x16mm on my desk. with a hex head. Let me know if you want one.
EDIT:
I see you need a 19mm one, mine is probably too short.

Do you still need this... back in work today and have a selection stainless/high tensile cap head (let me know what you need) will cut it to suit if required? Do you need the spring washer as well..
