I'm sure the Marathons will be fine. They are 200g heavier than the Luganos but 400g lighter than the M+. Now I'm not a weight weenie in any sense but when you add centrifugal force or whichever law applies to the weight on the outside of a wheel, I think that'll make a difference to speed.

Ah there's a cunning plan! Because I was feeling that Lelly was slower than Giant, I've now slowed Giant down so next time I'm out on Lelly it'll feel so much quicker!!!200g each heavier - good god.
Plus I'll get fitter. Hopefully it won't be too long until I've got the Marathons travelling at the same rate as the old tyres.

Ha ha, tyre is fine, it was a very old tube with a glueless patch on, patch had come loose and caused a slow leak

Ok first impressions are pretty good. I can still sprint and my speed didn't drop from what I can tell. They also passed the Westminster Bridge test (attain and maintain 20mph from St Thomas' Hospital all the way over the bridge). I assume I've used more energy in doing this but hey, not a bad thing
