Dry.
You might also find the search function very illuminating as this gets asked regularly! ;)

Finish line ceramic wet. Road ain't so bad with dry, but it does gunk up with dirt. Terrible off road though, the dust just sticks. Wipes off easier running wet lube.

I've started using industrial Chain Lube Spray by Fuchs. Not surprisingly, it seems to works well.

£6.79 for 500ml

Pretty much any lube used sparingly (drop per roller ) will do.

I've changed to Squirt Chain Lube. Fantastic stuff and available in very small bottles you can try before you buy in larger volumes.

Before this I used Chain Juice with good results but in hot weather it tends to become very liquid.

If you decide to try Squirt be sure to include the word "cycling" in any internet search..........

For me, its cheapest I can find. They all work the same and are as effective as each more expensive brands. No need to pay silly money.
I agree they all do the job in the same manner but some make life very much easier.

Good lubes help keep the chain clean by not being sticky and holding dirt and grit to make up a grinding paste.
