Hi. my chain was lubed on Saturday with dry chain oil but I never made it out. I am planning on going out tonight but with all this rain should I apply some wet lube over the top? Or should the old oil be removed first?

Old oil off first.
No degreaser used when I do mine.just keep wiping the chain until the cloth comes clean. When it's all clean apply the lube one drop per link applied to the rollers.
I wipe off any excess and all will be good.I use Fenwick stealth yes its expensive but a bottle lasts me ages

bin the dry lube - it's not worth the constant hassle and need to reapply after every ride. Buy a 'light' wet lube as some are very sticky and attract dirt

Thanks all. Yes I am finding this dry lube really thin. I will make sure that I wipe the chain down before applying the wet stuff!

I just use the bottle of Crivit chain oil that came with a cheap chain cleaning kit from Lidl, tried dry lube etc but found it hard to remove the bits of wax off the frame. I don't have any problems with the oil at all (but i do wipe the chain after every ride)
