So i set off to work this morning, and just as i got to the bottom of the street heard a ping and something drop from the bike, so grabbed a handful of front brake and nothing, a brake pad had managed to fire out of the caliper, BB7 Disk brakes btw. Any idea why this would happen? Im hoping its just incorrect installation, but ive never had an issue with them before.

Had the same with calipers, and it was my fault. I'd been cleaning the bike and probably forgot to tighten the cartridge. That same ping...I thought ooer, what was that, assumed it was a stone, till I arrived at a T junction and promptly messed myself.
