Meant to be dry though, temperatures predicted to be 5 degrees, but will feel like 1 degree. Overshoes required me thinks

Well not as cold as expected and not as windy as last week, only got caught in one short sharp shower. The 2nd loop was a bugger. I'm quite a big bloke, so hills are hard going. I was getting to stage where I didn't want to go downhill, as I knew there would be an uphill to follow

You're lucky, I got caught in two or three showers and a hailstorm. Was all fine though, mostly layered up well apart from one rainstorm I'd just changed into my short mitts as was too hot and had a long downhill in the rain.
Very cold hands by the time I got to the bottom.
I know my total time was about 7hr50 but not sure of the ride time as annoyingly my computer conked out at the end and didn't save the file.
