Hi there,

Have been riding a year after a 2nd acl reconstruction and beginning to really enjoy, so looking to upgrade my wheels for something that will give me a little extra.

I ride a Felt Z95.. so nothing at all special, so want to keep to about £250 as a budget, otherwise I will double the price of the bike. :-)

Had Campagnolo Scirocco suggested as a possible, but wondered if anyone here had advice as to what would be good. The bike has a Shimano Sora groupset... so want to make sure what I get fits with that.

Help?!?

Fulcrum racing 7s or 5s, both very good quality and wiggle do some good offers on complete sets. I run Fulcrum 7 CX on my cross/winter bike and these wheels have been to hellnand back without an issue.

Fulcrum 5s on mine and as Paul says, they can take some abuse. Be aware, they do state rider weight limits on their tech sheets so beware if you're on the larger side. Otherwise, id recommend them all day long.

I needed to replace the wheels on my Secteur due to rim wear and a dodgy freehub. I was pretty pleased with Fulcum 7s, about £110 for a pair with a Shimano freehub.

I have a set of Fulcrum racing 5s you can have for £50. Done about 400 miles but will need trueing up. Very little wear, they are like new but as I said they need to be put straight. I am sticking with the Shimano whr 6700 ultegra wheels.

Thanks for the offer Martin, gonna just do some cost research on the 5's, 7s and quattros... and then I might come back to you! :-) Cheers

So... just adding this into the Mix.. I am 13 stone... and looking for a wheelset that doesn't really need changing too often.. I am leaning now to the Fulcrum Quattro set... but should I get the standard or the CX? Does anyone have any advice on whether there is a big difference?
