Couldn't see anywhere appropriate for such a thread, so here it is. I've been looking for a copy of Sean Kelly: A man for all seasons by David Walsh. Amazon has a copy for £50 odd notes, looking it a bit cheaper than that! Hoping I could get advice/bit of direction on where to hunt.

I was after the book 'Cobralingus' by Jeff Noon a few years ago. Amazon listed it for dozens of pounds. I set up a notification on Ebay which after about four months or so came up with a copy at a reasonable price. I did the same thing with a box set of Edith Piaf CDs - again it was a few months before the right thing turned up.

Another thing I was looking for recently was the (discontinued) DVD of 'Arthur's Dyke'. I simply googled it, trawled through a few pages of search results and found a copy for sale at Oxfam - not cheap but not exhorbitantly expensive either.

Got that book, just found it on my bookshelf. Paid £9.95 from Blackwells, Oxford, in the early 90's.
Excellent book.

Unless you wish to keep it, why not see if your library can obtain it from another branch? It must be collecting dust on a shelf somewhere in libary land!
