The Norwegians love their tunnels. I was in Tromsø once and there was even a junction complete with traffic roundabout in a tunnel.
They could have competition from South Wales. This one needs a mere 10 million quid to convert it to a cycle tunnel (like that's going to happen) Bizarrely the length is given in yards and I can't be arsed to covert it.

Looks like Zwift. No thanks.
In DfT hands, but at least it hasn't been self sabotaged by its custodians like the Queensbury tunnel nr Halifax

I was wondering about that one. Also about proposals for the tunnel at Woodhead? How have they self sabotaged that, they are objecting to the abandonment aren't they?
I'm not close to to the campaign so you may know something I don't.
Officially no, you are supposed to walk your bike through both of them (loads of No Cycling signs) but it doesn’t stop people from doing it anyway.I have cycled the Greenwich and Woolwich tunnels under "The River". Can you still do that?
