Afternoon Cycle chatters,

I've been a regular turbo trainer user for about 9 years, the last 8 of which have been on a very reliable and solid Tacx Neo OG.
About 3 years in (For those who know them) I changed the freehub from Edco to Shimano, and also fitted a ReAxle.
A year later I bought a service bearing kit, and swapped that out.
Last spring I took it to 'The Turbo Trainer Doctor' who changed the bearings again, put new fans in, and carried out some preventative work on the system board.

Up until December last year I was a devoted TrainerRoad user, but then I started a trial of Rouvy, and am now a little addicted you might say.
I enjoy the ability to virtually rides routes all over the world, the races I am nowhere near the pointy end, but I really enjoy them, and it helps me get more out of myself that I could in a workout. The challenges hold far more appeal for me than I thought they could, as well as the amassing of virtual coins so you can buy new wheels and bikes etc. I've tried several of the workouts as well, and although they are not as good imho as TrainerRoad they are still pretty good.

Anyway, I digress - I was thinking about what I could do to improve the experience, and I know I really like the bit of side to side movement on the Neo, and after a quick google I see there is now a Wahoo kickr move, which has a bit of side to side with the spongey feet, and a lockable out front to rear movement as well.
Additionally the kickr climb can be purchased which would make it feel more immersive on climbs I guess, as well as changing the feel and angle of the bike and how your muscles are working.

On the negative side, I have seen a few reviews of a clanking noise on the side to side movement, and maybe more concerningly, some trainers appear to have a constant lean to one side - seemingly if you are heavy enough the rider corrects the lean, but if not, you are stuck riding lopsided.
I've no idea how widespread this issue is, or even if it is still an issue.

The other thing I would like to do, is to fit the zwift hub and clickr for virtual gears, and a much simpler drivetrain setup.

I've just in the last few weeks set up my partners wahoo kickr core, and last weekend fitted a latterly purchased zwift kit to it, and it works really nicely, and is REALLY quiet, plus has a much wider gear range, with 24 actual differences - additionally you can shift this 'range' wholesale, by choosing either of the front cogs, and then twirling the zwift hub to align the chain again.

Has anyone on here had experience of the Wahoo kickr move, and or the climb - just curious to hear unbiased user experience.
The bike I want to fit to it would be an alloy frame with quick release wheels, so hoping both the turbo and the climb would be compatible?

I'm not sure if I would look to buy it this year, or put money aside each month to save the funds for next year is probably more likely.
The best deal currently seems to be the ever reliable Sigma at £1049, but I just wondered if anyone had seen any good deals at all in the past from specific retailers, or if they are so new discounts are far and few between.
I recall when I bought by Neo, I ended up getting it from Amazon direct, and iirc it was just under £800, which at the time was a really good price.

Thanks

Dan
