To cut a long story short:
March 2010 bought Spesh Secteur Sport, July 2010 London to Southend 3 hrs 20 mins September 2010 Sciatica/Back pain Secteur sold and laid off ever since. Body and lungs puffy and legs like sparrows now....but
Now proud owner of Cannondale Synapse Tiagra - just awaiting C2W vouchers.
Rode the CAAD 8 Sora and the above back 2 back several times. The CAAD 8 frame was quite frankly excellent and had it over the Synapse. The slightly more relaxed geometry of the Synapse won me over in the end especially for the type of riding I do. The CAAD 8 was a lot more aggresive and far longer reach to the hoods.
Obviously my humble opinion only and it is all subjective after all but having ridden the the Allez, Trek 1, the Cannondale stood head and shoulders above them all and also (sorry to all the Secteur supporters) was way above my old Secteur Sport. With the 2011 Cannondale £ 50 cheaper than the new 2011 Secteur the winner was clear.
Obviously a long way to go to get back my old fitness levels as my test rides proved but I shall give you an update of my progress.
Cheers
