I read this article and then saw Ben's post yesterday. It looks most tempting on the French side and I have friends in Newhaven so it is beginning to gain momentum and cause a little cogitation. Paris in the springtime.........I feel a song coming on:laugh:

3 long days? 2x 75 mile days on the French side?

Then the ride back to Dieppe, obviously...

Should really read Bens post.

London to Paris, largely on designated cycle ways. Especially in France.
I thought it unusual in that the ferry crossing is Newhaven-Dieppe. Which you can do for £35.

If you do some research into this you will see that it really is not on "Designated" cycleways. There are some but there are also big gaps. Unfortunately it was a good idea to begin with and was hoped to be finished by 2012 for the olympics in London. When it was thought out the planners thought the money would come rolling in but it didn`t.

Certainly there are better routes on the French side than the English side but you need to fill the gaps in the best way you can, especially on the English side.

It still would not put me off doing it.
