Hi,

I'm seriously thinking of taking this. Is there anybody out there for same date. I'm planning it in may because, being a Non-EU citizen in UK , I require visa to visit Europe. And my current tourist visa to Europe(schengen states) expire by may-2010 end. And I don't want to spend another 60 euros on visa for this trip.

I'm a intermediate cyclist. Taken serious cycling since last year. Commute everyday to work(22 miles round trip). That will be my training. Apart from that, I've done few charity rides this year, longest was 91 miles in a day.

Any suggestions/buddies welcome.

Prasad - didn't you do the Cheam and Morden Hilly 50?

I don't think London to Geneva is going to be too much of a problem.....

Yes, it was little tough for me, but enjoyed it. Planning a road bike for this one(cycleshceme).

I was looking on the discussion forum of the company which arranges this, most of people has opted for June or Sept option. I think it's weather factor they have considered.

Thanks for encouragement.

I did London paris with Discover Adventure - superb. Food during the ride was excellent. If you are commuting at that level you will be fine, although I would agree with their advice to make sure you do a couple of longish rides on consecutive weekend days. Getting on the next day after doing 94 the previous was an experience, start gently and 10 miles in your fine. You will be free to stop whenever you want. we worked to around every 20 miles including the prganised stops.

Geneva in Switzerland in the Alps?

How long does that sort of thing take, I'd love to do something like that, only cost and time off stands in my way

BJH, thanks. Yes, I've done few charity rides this year, but, obviously not on consecutive day. But, I avoided to take rest day after ride, and commuted to office next day. I'll keep in mind about back to back days training.

to Tynan,

Schedule is for 10 days, in which 8 days cycling and a day rest in Paris. Either you can raise money for charity or you can fund your trip. Given my limited social circle here, I choose later option, and will be raising money without any target.
